Choose OnComply if…
- COIs are only part of your problem. You also chase W-9s, ACH forms, licenses, and signed contracts.
- You want the price before the conversation. Every plan's price is published.
- You want expired documents to block work and payment automatically instead of only flagging non-compliance.
- You want to be collecting documents today with a self-serve trial, no demo scheduling or sales cycle.
Choose Billy if…
- Your workflow lives in Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, or a construction ERP, and you need compliance status inside those tools.
- You want a managed service where someone else's team reviews certificates for you.
- You are a larger GC managing many hundreds of subcontractors and prefer a construction-insurance specialist bought through sales.
Common questions
What is the main difference between OnComply and Billy?
Scope and buying model. Billy is a construction-focused insurance-compliance platform, bought through a demo and quote, with strong construction ERP integrations and an optional managed review service. OnComply treats the COI as one item on the vendor's checklist: the same link also collects W-9s, ACH authorizations, licenses, and signed contracts, verifies TINs against IRS records, and enforces can-work/can-pay status, with published flat pricing and a self-serve trial.
Does Billy publish its pricing?
As of August 2026, Billy does not publish a price list on its website; you book a demo to get a quote. OnComply publishes every plan: $29, $69, $179, $449, and $999 per month, banded by active vendor count, with a 14-day free trial and no card required.
Does OnComply integrate with Procore like Billy does?
Not yet. Billy's construction ERP integrations (Procore, Autodesk, CMiC, Sage, and others) are a genuine strength today if your workflow lives in those tools. OnComply integrates with QuickBooks Online and exposes a real-time eligibility API and signed webhooks, so compliance status can already be wired into your own systems, and a native Procore integration is something we can build on that foundation. If it would unblock your team, email admin@oncomply.biz.
Is OnComply established enough to trust with bank and tax data?
OnComply is a newer, founder-run product, and we treat that objection seriously. Sensitive fields are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using tenant-scoped keys backed by AWS KMS, access is role-controlled with step-up authentication, every action lands in an append-only audit trail, and a DPA is available on all plans. Your data is exportable at any time, so trying it is not a lock-in decision.
Can I switch from Billy to OnComply?
Yes. Create your vendor groups, set COI minimums and other document requirements, and invite subcontractors with one link. Most teams are collecting within a day. Because vendors don't need accounts, there is no vendor-side migration to manage.
